Mackenzie Walker’s Weight Loss Journey
When MacKenzie’s parents split when she was nine years old, she moved in with her father and brother into the home that belonged to her grandfather in Windsor, Ontario, located just across the border from Detroit. MacKenzie spent most of her time in the basement, where she watched movies on YouTube while munching on hot dogs, French fries, and packs of soda.
During fifth grade, MacKenzie weighed 170 pounds. She had achieved her heaviest weight of 223 pounds by the time she entered the seventh grade.
It was a defense mechanism that she created to protect herself from bullies; her pals enjoyed it when she made disgusting expressions and made fun of her double chin. She had some concerns about developing Type 2 diabetes because her grandmother had amputated her leg due to the disease.
Still, she was unable to maintain the diets she tried only half-heartedly. MacKenzie started her first year of high school, weighing close to 200 pounds in September.
As she made her way down the hallways, she kept thinking about how everyone must be gazing at her because she was “the overweight girl.” She realized that the only way to compete with weight loss was to go on a diet herself.
In 2013, she sat her dad down and told him that she would do a proper diet and said, “Please don’t let me quit.”
Mackenzie Walker’s Weight Loss Diet Plan
She has tried various diets, such as low-carb, carb-cycling, and clean eating until she ultimately started calculating macronutrients, which is her eating plan. MacKenzie avoided eating after 7 p.m. and spent the weekend preparing nutritious meals for the upcoming week, including breakfasts, lunches, and dinner.

After signing up for Instagram in December 2013, she found that her life was suddenly flooded with ideas. She idolized bodybuilders because they possessed the chiseled physique she envisioned for herself.
She discovered the Insanity fitness program and did it for her workout routine. What exactly is the Insanity fitness program? The Insanity program is an advanced form of fitness that you may do at home.
Exercises using only one’s body weight and interval training at a high intensity are included. Workouts in the Insanity program are conducted in intervals ranging from 20 to 60 minutes long, six days per week for sixty days.
